Simple eats for Seniors

Cooking Classes

Project Dinnertime – Cooking Classes is a four week cooking and food skills program designed specifically to meet the nutritional and lifestyle concerns of seniors.

With the aim to improve skills, confidence and motivation in the kitchen, this program will get you cooking more meals from home, more often!

Delivered by experienced Accredited Practising Dietitians and Nutritionists, you will learn about a range of food related issues, such as healthy eating for seniors, budgeting and how to handle and store food safely.

Each participant will:

  • cook, eat and enjoy a two course meal that you prepare during each session
  • have the opportunity to discuss any food and nutrition concerns with the dietitian
  • socialise with like minded people
  • increase your confidence and motivation to prepare meals at home
  • receive a copy of the Project Dinnertime – Cooking Class Guide handbook filled with recipes, shopping lists, meal plans and more!

What people are saying about Project Dinnertime – Cooking Classes:

“A highlight was sharing a meal with different people and learning about portion sizes – I now understand them properly!

It was very organised, practical and the food choices were so appropriate. I enjoyed trying different recipes that used all the food groups.

I get to talk to a dietitian and enjoy a meal – now thats value!”

Cost: $180.00 (Inc. GST) per participant for the four week program. This is a subsidised program and no discounts apply.
