Project Dinnertime Jnr: Type 1 Diabetes school holiday program

NEW: Project Dinnertime Junior tailored for children with Type 1 Diabetes

Our fun and interactive cooking classes will increase kitchen confidence and help to develop healthy eating habits when living with Type 1 Diabetes, in a supportive environment. The classes are lead by Accredited Practising Dietitian who lives with Type 1 Diabetes, passionate about promoting healthy relationships with food.

This 4 day program is specially designed for children with Type 1 Diabetes.

During the program, your child will:

  • Cook and enjoy a healthy morning tea and a hot meal each day. Any leftover food can be taken home to share with the family
  • Gain independence in planning and preparing healthy meals to manage Type 1 Diabetes
  • Learn how to incorporate carbohydrates in meals and snacks
  • Receive their own Foodie Bag, including a durable takeaway food container, fun food activities and a copy of the Project Dinnertime Junior: T1DM recipe book to inspire healthy cooking at home.

Ages 12 – 17 years

Program dates: First week of school holidays:
